SharePoint Migration Manager Scan Fails with Error “Default”

While trying to add new file share path to the migration manger for a scan job we run in the following error message:

At the top of the scan dialog a red bar with the word Default and the error symbol appears.

As sidenote we organized our Agents in named groups and so the “Default” group was empty / not existant.

We readded an agent to the “Default” group and were able to scan again.

So keep an agent in the default group if you want to scann further file share path.
